General Admission

General and special admission tickets do not expire and may be redeemed at any time. All general admission, special admission, program fees, event tickets, donations, and memberships are final and non-refundable

For Military, Veterans, and their Families, admission is currently free, courtesy of USAA.

Enjoy free general admission every Thursday from 4-9 p.m., courtesy of H-E-B, and the first Sunday of every month from Noon to 5 p.m., courtesy of the Dickson Allen Foundation. Special Exhibition access is $10 during these times.

 

Grounds Photography

The McNay is pleased to provide beautiful spaces on our grounds for formally posed, portrait-style photography sessions. These sessions require a fee that helps the Museum maintain its grounds and facilities. 

 

Examples of formally-posed sessions include, but are not limited to:

  • posed family portraits
  • wedding, bridal, and engagement photos
  • quinceañera photos
  • graduation photos
  • maternity photos
  • holiday card portraits
  • special event photos

Please note, if a photographer or a client has more than one session per day, the fee is charged per session.  

 

WHEN YOU ARRIVE

Photographers must check in at the Museum Front Desk before proceeding with the session. You may present the eticket (printed copy or show ticket on phone), the receipt, or provide the name of the person who purchased the pass to search for the order.

 

During times when the Museum is closed to the public but the grounds are open, a McNay security guard will assist you with check-in prior to your session.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19 restrictions, photography groups of 10 or more people are not allowed.

Students from across the San Antonio area showcase their creative responses to vanessa german’s assemblage, BLACK GIRL WITH SNAKES. Student art is displayed throughout the museum in the Patio Gallery and Valero Learning Centers. 

 

Admission is free to the event and Museum for any Spotlight guests, including student artists, family members, teachers, administrators, friends, and fans. Registration is required.

Register in advance to save time at check-in. Be Well programs are pay-what-you-wish. Consider supporting the McNay with a donation of any amount or by becoming a member.
